Hello all -

Clientsetup.exe is failing on a new Dell Windows 10Pro laptop, OI 9.4.2 The copy of OI is coming from an older WindowsPro10 machine that works. When prompted during the install if I want to install .NET 2.0 I am taken to a download page for .NET but nothing installs. Continuing with the install leads to a series of "Setup failed" messages. When downloading .NET 4.8 manually it tells me it is already installed, I do not see a 2.0 download.

Hi, Mike. Modern versions of Windows include the .NET 2.0 framework in the .Net 3.5 framework. So you have to get that installed on your computer. Since this isn't a server, just a regular workstation, I think you can add it by going to the Windows 10 "search" area, and typing in "Turn Windows features on". and clicking the suggested control panel link. In the dialog that appears, choose the .Net 3.5 framework (if it's not already installed), and see if installing that resolves your problem.
